Going on a walk.

     My husband and I went on a walk the other day. I wanted to take some pictures. There were tons of bugs.

This was my favorite bug we found. He posed for us.

 My husband also loves taking pictures. We are perfect for each other.

Dominoes

One of my favorite activities (other than the aforementioned reading) is playing dominoes. Alone. I'm not sure why. But I love dominoes.

 Unfortunately, it seems Tux enjoys getting in my way even more. :)

Reading

Just gonna share a little thing about myself - I love to read!! We went to the library and my husband and I got I believe 29 books between us. In just 1 week, from that Friday evening to the following Thursday night, I read all of these.

Zucchini

When checking the garden the other day, we found - to our great surprise - a gigantic zucchini! Well, it may not be gigantic, but it's easily the largest I've ever seen for real. 
 We made zucchini bread (2 cups shredded) and it didn't even use an eighth of the zucchini. 

 

Spider

 I enjoy taking pictures of everything and anything - including a spider eating a box elder bug... So I'm sharing these odd pictures with you just as I shared the sight with my roommate (which led us to both take pictures).

Bonfire

Last night we had a bonfire in our backyard.

There was little fire, but tons of smoke.

Broadway

I've been to NYC twice. The first time in high school and the second in college. Both were amazing experiences, especially in college. In high school I got to see "Phantom of the Opera" and meet an actor and conductor. College, I saw 4 shows and I met actors from about every show as well as famous people that were at the shows. Absolutely amazing. I love plays and musicals and loved the opportunity I had in New York.

I got front row tickets to this wonderful show.

A fantastically hilarious show!

The second time was better than the first.

By far, my favorite show. And it had nothing to do with Daniel Radcliffe being who he was, but his talent and the amazing choreography and set! And everything else about the show!

Pottermore

Snippet of my life: Today was my lucky day! I barely got any sleep, but I managed to be awake when the third clue for early entry into Pottermore was posted. It took very little time for me to find the clue (as I knew, since the third book is my favorite, and therefore I knew it best). However, it did take just as long if not longer to actually get my answer accepted. But I did it, and answered the confirmation email. I'm officially a part of 1 million that get to explore Pottermore before October when it's open to all!

the question was, what was Griffindor's lead against Slytherin in the Quidditch match. then the answer was supposed to be multiplied by 35. answer then was 2100.

Tuxedo the Cat

We have a few family pets right now. My personal favorite is Tuxedo. He gets into everything, but knows when he's pushed too far. Even though I haven't known him long, he knows I'm boss over him, just as my husband is. Last night, he was pouting because my husband kicked him out of his chair at dinner. (He bugs us every night about eating with us - some days more insistent than others.) This was where he went to pout.

Star Wars!!

Yes, I am a big Star Wars fan. And my husband is an even bigger one. He read all the books when he was younger (not all that are out now, though, of course.) We both believe the original 3 (episodes 4-6) to be infinitely better than episodes 1-3. We are sharing our love of these movies with one of his sisters. Here's what I wear every night to watch these movies.

Harry Potter

As many know, I'm quite sure, HARRY POTTER came out this past weekend. I grew up with Harry,  Ron, and Hermione so to speak. I was 9 or 10 when the first book came out and was there to read all the others the day they came out. I enjoy the movies, though not as much as the books I voraciously read as a child and then as a teenager.

I have (now that the series is complete) come to decision of my favorite movies, in order of favorite to least: HP5 ;; HP7pt2 ;; HP7pt1 ;; HP3 ;; HP6 ;; HP1 ;; HP4 ;; HP2.

Yes, a Slytherin scarf. I received it for my 21st birthday. :)

Croquet

For Father's Day, we celebrated by playing croquet! Talk about FUN! OK, it wasn't all that fun at first. But once we all started getting into it, it was loads of fun! Here are a few pictures. This is the most amount of pictures as well as the most I've shared of my life.

Fourth of July

We had two Fourth of July celebrations this year. My first (and second) with my husband. Including from when we were dating, even though we've been together for a few Fourths. Here are my two favorite pictures.

Well, it's certainly been a WHILE since I last updated. I started another blog, got involved with life, and forgot completely about this one. But NO MORE! Here's what's changed - I'm married! I wore Chucks to my wedding, yep!
